Microsoft Word 2000 for Windows

Hi...I am running windows ME with office 2000
installed.....something is wrong with my word 2000
program....The disk I need from the office disks is
missing or maybe one of my kids broke it and is afraid to
tell me.......anytime I try to open word 2000 I get the
opening window and that is it...my pc just hangs
up......HELP??
