Microsoft Word 2000 - Serial Number

I just installed Microsoft Word 2000 on a new computer however, I got the
software from "hand-me-down" people and I am needing the 25 alphanumeric CD
key. I have tried making up the key digits and will not work. On the dialog
box, it says there is a sticker on the jewel case that came with the
software, I never had received this and I am needing to find the CD key from
someone I can use on the software. If you can help, please let me know.

You ask for "the" CD key, but there is a different one for each copy of the
software. You need to find *your* CD key. If you can't get this from the
person who gave you your copy of Word, see “How to Obtain a New Product Key

And if this is an OEM copy of Word, you are not permitted to install it on
another computer. OEM software is only licensed for the computer on which it
came and is not transferable - it dies with the computer.
