Microsoft Word 2002 not printing # of copies i enter in

Printer HP LaserJet 1000
Microsoft Word 2002
Word is not printing the number of copies i entered in.
Is this a problem with the printer software or Word 2002?
Is there a fix?

Turn off background printing in Word (Tools | Options | Print | uncheck the
"Background printing" box). If that doesn't fix the problem, then turn off
print spooling and/or advanced text services in Windows (Start | Control
Panel | Printers | <right-click on your printer> | Properties | Advanced).
