microsoft word 2003

Why can't I print a document prepared in microsoft word? No matter which way
I try, I end up with, save as. Have saved to documents and tried to cut, copy
and paste with same results. Continue to get the save as screen. Please
help...Rosanna

If you click on File| Print, what is the name of the printer that Word
is trying to print to, and is it the same as the printer you want to
print to?

No, my printer is not listed. Actually my printer will not print anything
since I got this Microsoft Office 2003. I am about ready to uninstall it and
get a different program.

What garfield-n-odie was suggesting was that it sounds as if you have
Microsoft Office Document Image Writer selected (it will want to write to a
file). Have you installed your printer in Windows and selected it as the
default? Word will always use the Windows default printer unless you change
the setting.

Is your printer listed in the Printers and Faxes tab on the Start menu?
If not install it
If yes then delete it and reinstall it.

I did finally change the printer. Mine was installed but had to be selected.
