microsoft word error message "office application does not match

I keep getting an error message when I open microsoft word "office
application does not match". My computer came with a trail version of
microsoft office I purchased microsoft office student and teacher edition
2003. Please help

You should have uninstalled trial version first.
Uninstall all versions of Office via Add/Remove, clear temp files, reboot,
install from Office cd
