Version: 2008 My microsoft word for mac got into the trash( on my computer) somehow, and now it wont relaunch even though I dragged it out of the trash and put it back into the bar. What can I do to fix it?

If your reference to "the bar" actually means the OS X Dock, the icons there
are *not* the programs themselves. They are simply links to the respective
applictions. Look in the Microsoft Office 2008 folder in your Applications
folder to determine whether the program is there. If it is, double-click it
to see if Word will launch. Assuming it does, drag the Word icon to the Dock
to recreate the link.

If you still have trouble launching Word there is something else that's
causing the problem. Most common causes are: Updates needed for both OS X &
Office as well as the need to Repair Disk Permissions. in order to pursue it
any further you'll need to fully describe exactly what happens when you
attempt to launch the program. Simple one-liners such as you've posted this
time give us nothing to work with.

If Word actually is not in the folder described above you'll need to
reinstall & update it.
