"Microsoft Word has stopped working" error message

I am currently running Windows 7 and Office Professional 2007. I tried to
open a word document and recieved the "Microsoft Word has stopped working"
window. It prompted for a couple of options, so I chose "Check online for
solution". It sent the message and then gave me "There was a problem sending
the command to the program" popup.

I clicked on the problem details and this is what it provided me:

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks,

Yep, Windows 7 and Word 2007 did the same thing. Tried resetting the printer
and it worked. Thanks for that one !!!!

O.K. I am having the same problem. I recently began working on a new
computer with Windows 7 and Small Business Office 2007. When I open
Microsoft Word, it says "Microsoft Word has stopped working." It then gives
me a message saying it is trying to solve the problem. Of course, it never
does.

What does resetting the printer mean?

I get this error message frequently and have found a work-around. This may
seem crazy but I go to Excel 2007 and clear the clipboard. Word 2007 then
works fine. If I clear the clipboard before starting Word 2007 the program
always starts and runs without problem.
