microsoft word not firing up

Hi folks. We installed service pack 2 last week,and
since then we have had a problem with MS WORD.

When we try to access the program, the word page comes
up, and then immediately defaults back out of the program.

Has anybody else seen this problem, and if so, what is
the solution.
