I have several word templates "dot" save in my documents. I recently
tried creating a document with them but every time I click the icon,
Word opens the template for editing, instead of opening a new blank
document with the template settings. I've tried to recreate the
templates and re-save them as "dot" files. But that didn't help. The
only templates that seem to work are in Microsoft's default template
location (C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates). Has anyone had this type of problem or a
solution? I'm running windows Microsoft Word 2002 SP-2 on a XP Pro
machine. Thanks
