Microsoft Word X unexpectedly quits all the time

Can anyone help me? I have microsoft word X for mac. It constantly
quits on me all the time. I have to save every ten seconds -- that's
how bad it is. My product is past the warranty period.

What should I do to rectify this annoying problem?

This is a security issue with Office X

Go to www.mactopia.com and click on downloads up top and select Office
v.X and then select the 10.1.9 update and then select the english and
here it will start to download and then it will place a 10.1.9 update
on your desktop and just double click on it and install.

If this step does not resolve it, it could be a preference issue
Go to the hard drive/users/home/library/preferenes and if you see
com.microsoft.word.plist drag it to the trash and the entire Microsoft
folder within preferences.
