No, Bob, it's GONE....

You have destroyed not only the executable file for Word but also all its
entries in the registry and all its auxiliary files. Even if you had a
backup of the files, putting them back in the original location still
wouldn't give you a working installation.

If you had a disk image backup, of the sort made by Norton Ghost or
PowerQuest Drive Image, you could restore the entire hard drive -- but if
you had that kind of failsafe, you wouldn't be asking the question.

Failing that, your only alternative is to install Word from the distribution
CD. If you don't have that either, go buy one.

It's an expensive lesson, but apparently one you need to learn: DO NOT
uninstall programs you may still need!

Or at least don't uninstall them without being confident you can reinstall.
