I cannot open Word since I downloaded Version 9.0 of AOL.
I have since uninstalled the version in an attempt to be
able to open Word, but that has not worked. Could you
please give me your opinion and help as to how to open
Word and the documents that I have saved in that Program
under My Documents. Please let me know at your earliest
convience. Thanks!

I've heard of AOL interfering horribly with other programs,
but never with Word. First thing is to try the fixes at
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm

It would help if you were more specific about 'not able to open Word' --
what actually happens, and what error messages do you get?
