Microsoft Works 7.0 Registration

After having to do a system restore, i have to install and register
everything again. However when i try to open the link to verify my email, it
says

"We are unable tolocate your profile information. A problem occurred while
trying to locate your profile on Microsoft.com. If you have not yet
registered with Microsoft.com, you may do so at the Profile Centre "

I have a windows live account for my msn and hotmail, and have also tried it
with another email but still this sign still comes up. What do i do?

Can works still work without that email verification?

Hello Jenni,

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word (not
your fault: it's a charming foible of MS's "discussions" web interface,
which I see you used). Macs don't use Microsoft Works. Although several
people here use both PCs and Macs and may give you an answer soon, it's
likely that more people in a PC group have experienced your specific
