Microsoft Works 9 and Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007

I just bought a new laptop that has Works 9 installed, which doesn't include
Word. I have a CD for Office Home & Student 2007. Can I install this without
interfering with the Works 9 software?

Yes, I did so on my PC.
Everything is working well.
