Microsoft Works Spreadsheet Functions??

I am attempting to open older spreadsheets into Works
2003. I keep getting a message that says: "VJN1
contains a formula outside the area that Works can
access." I get similiar error messages e.g. BYL1, MGZ1,
RFM1, OCW1, AND PQG1.
