microsoft works task launcher

I have microsoft works on my computer, when i go into the task launcher and
try to create a new project it tells me the the task launcher cannot access
the task i have selected . files needed to start the program may be missing,
corrupted or may have been deleted. To restore or replace files reinstall the
program, and then try program again.

I do not have the disk for the program. What can i do to chage this

Works is not Word so your question is in the wrong place. Howver, if you
don't have the disk, you may be up a famous creek.

Works will be on your recovery disk if it was preloaded when you bought the
computer. Or a recovery partition. Look at your computer documentation.
