Just wondering if there is a Native version of Access for Apple. I
believe one can run it using virtual pc but i am not sure how slow it
will be.

Any thoughts are appreciated?

What would be an application comparative to Access for Macintosh ?
thanks,

Francisco

Depends on your processor speed. Access via VPC on my G4/450 with
VPC6 is tolerable for me with moderate data sets. YMMV.

FileMaker Pro:

or 4th Dimension:

Both are cross-platform dbms's. FMP is more popular while I find 4D
is somewhat more robust.

And, while not comparable to Access, I've become very fond of MySQL.

Filemaker is very good, and if you don't need all the bells and whistles it
provides and can make due with a simple database program, you can also try
the database application that comes with AppleWorks. It is very similar to
FileMaker. AppleWorks was originally designed by the same folks who make
FileMaker. Chances are you already own a copy of AppleWorks as it comes
bundled with most Macs.
