Micrsoft Project VS Access BIG PROJECT

I am tasked with trying to determine the best way to create a project
database. I need the functionality of Microsoft project i.e.
charts,timeline,cost/benefit as wells as the VBA, secuirty, and query
capabilties of a database. Does anyone know if these two software
pieces can co-exists, prehaps Micrsoft project can SQL into a Access
Database.

I basically looking for a hub for projects to be stored, tracked,
view, etc.

This functionality built-in. Recommend you do some pilots and perhaps
get some PM's and developers who have set up something like this before.
There is also a plethora of products on the market which facilitate this.

Have you looked at MS Project Server? That is essentially what it does.
