micrsoft word 2007 crashes and restarts because of hp printer

Since I already know that it is the hp printer drivers continually restarting
word 2007 after shutdown, is there any way to get that box unchecked so that
word will not keep trying to recover? MY work is saved and printed fine.

The only answer is to set a different printer driver as the windows default
only selecting the HP printer when you need to print and switch back to the
default printer before you exit Word.
