Hello!! Good day To you.
Maybe some kind person out there could help me sort this one out??
I created a powerpoint presentation with an embedded midi file. The
last time I opened the file, the midi file played just fine.
Just a while ago, I tried to access the file again, but the file would
not play. On trying to re-insert the file, no midi files were listed
in the "open" dialog box, although they were ceratinly on the hard
disk, and were playable on other players such as real audio player.
I tried to manually play the file on powerpoint but I got an error
message:
MMsystem296 The file cannot be played on the specified MCI device. The
file may be corrupt or not in the correct format.
It is interesting to note that other formats are playable. But midi
files seem to be completely invisible to Powerpoint. I tried
reinstalling powerpoint afresh, but that gave no results.
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP? BECAUSE I'M BAFFLED!!!
Regards,
Mark
