Migrate to Project Server 2002

Gents.

I'm in the early stage of putting together a business case to introduce
project server 2002. We currently use Project Professional 2002 with about
450 users.

What the diff between project Server 2002 and Project Web access ??
Are these two function intergrated in later versions??

What are the bugs associated with server 2002 (non tech terms please)

Is it worth the migration, Im looking for a secure environment with users
access rights etc, plus better implementation of Global filters macros etc

Thanks in advance

Why in the world would you migrate to a product that is 5 years old and two
versions old? Project Server 2003 replaced Project Server 2002 with a much
more stable and powerful product. Project Server 2007 is Microsoft's
current generation of the software, and is like 2003 on steroids with so
many new powerful and useful features. :)

If you use any generation of Project Server, all information is stored in a
SQL Server database. Project managers use Microsoft Project to plan and
manage projects. Team members use Project Web Access, the Web-based
interface to Project Server shown in the Internet Explorer, to report
progress on their tasks. Executives also use Project Web Access to view
their organization's portfolio of projects. Neither team members or
executives need Microsoft Project at all since they use Project Web Access.
Hope this helps.
