In the CIW transform we select "Migrate user settings" but when one of our
user's computers upgrades from Office 2000 to Office 2003 the Outlook, Word,
Excel, PPT settings do not migrate, they are set to default. The settings I
am referring to are the basic ones under Tools | options in the preferences
tab like calendare default reminder, reminder time for tasks, note option
colors and font, the work week hours from default of 8am - 5pm to something
different. These settings in outlook or in Word, Excel, PPT within Tools |
Options in almost all the tabs. Each of our users have different settings so
we want them to migrate their specific settings and they are not migrating
and are being set to the default so don't want to use an *.OPS file. Is this
an effect from upgrading from 2000 to 2003 and something we can't prevent?
Any ideas if this is a supposed to happen? Not
sure if the "Migrate User Settings" in the CIW-transform is not working or
what it is supposed to migrate and what it doesn't, ideas or help is
appreciated! Thanks!
