Migrating Analysis Services repository

It appears from the installation guide that the typical repository migration
is when Analysis Services and SQL server are installed on the same computer.
The "OLAP Administrators" AD group is a local group and is selected during
the setup of the SQL based repository creation.
How do you perform the repository migration when Analysis Services and SQL
Server are on seperate computers?

Hi Bob,

This should be straight forward;
1/ Create a new repository DB on your SQL server
2/ create a new security login (olap administrators group) and give them DBO
rights to the DB you created in step 1.
3/ log into SQL Analysis manager, got to the instance and right click,
choose migrate repository
4/ Select your SQL server
5/ Select the DB you just created in step 1
That's it....don't forget to rename your old repostiory that's on your
analysis machine, its an MDB file in your program files.
