migrating from mdaemon to local pst file

Good day,

i have this kind of trouble with outlook 2003: i have to dismiss an Mdaemon
server as my customer wants to get rid of it and i have to import all the old
mails, calendar entries and contacts on every outlook 2003 installed in every
client. They used Mdaemon server as another company was in charge of keeping
their IT structure fully functional. Now since they want to get rid of that
server i've been asked to find a way to import the things above. I tried to
copy the mail from the MAPI folders i see in the outlook interface but
outlook randomly crashes and loose the mail i was copying. Since i have to
avoid to loose any others i'm asking if there's a way to tell outlook " read
the mail on the server and import them in the local profile".

Do you know is there's a way to do that?

thank you in advance

How do they connect to the mDaemon server today? (POP3 or IMAP) Reason I
ask is that both collection types use a PST file, but one protocol over the
other might be easier to use if you need to remove all items from a mailbox
quickly.

it actually uses a connector for outlook and in the account managing window
is reported as "MAPI" i'm not really an expert of this so if you have any
other questions ask and i'll provide you the answer asap.

thanks a lot

On the Outlook Connector's Misc. tab there is an option to use a local
cache, does this mean it uses a PST file or some proprietary storage scheme?
