Migrating from office xp to 2003 OST issues

Hi.

We're planning an upgrade from office XP to 2003 over here, but we seem
to be having some issues with the offline storage in Outlook after the
migration of settings.

A while ago, machines were installed with office XP, a localised
(Dutch) version, with some settings added using transform files created
with the Office XP ORK tools (custom installation wizard). We're now
planning on replacing this localised version of Office with an English
version of Office 2003 Sp1 with the MUI pack deployed. Off course, this
install has been modified a bit using the Custom Installation Wizard to
have the same custom settings as the Xp version had.
After office 2003 has been deployed (Migrate user settings option
turned ON) Outlook doesn't seem to synchronise any more. The
Send/Recieve settings are still there, but these settings don't seem to
work. Outlook normally send/recieves on shutdown, copying all new
recieved mails to the OST. The send/recieve window does appear for half
a second, then dissapears, and nothing is added to the OST.
The only way to get Outlook to send/recieve as it normally did, is to
create a new sent/recieve group, manually changing the settings like
they should be and disabling the old sent/recieve group.

In the Custom Installation Wizard, i've already set OST creation to "do
not prevent OST creation" and "Create new OST if format doesn't match
code" settings under exchange settings in the transform file.
Unfortunately, this doesn't resolve the problem. Anyone ever
encountered the same issue? Does the 2003 OST format differ from the XP
version? Any pointers would be highly appreciated. TIA
