migrating mail from 2000 to 2002

I recently had a crash. Only managed to save an Outlook
data file (.pst)of about 30M and a wab file which I hope
contains my addresses. This was Outlook 2000
Have reformatted hard drive and reinstalled programs. I
have upgraded to Office 2002.
Neither Outlook or Outlook Express 2002 will not recognize
or open either of the saved files.
How can I retrieve the data in these files? The format of
the retrieval is unimportant as long as I can access the
data.
