Greetings,
Does anyone know the steps that should be taken to migrate PS2003 from
one environment (e.g. WSS/PS2003 on one box and SQL Server on
another), to another new duplicate environment. Are all of the
following steps neccesary?
1. Target Platform Preparation: Preparing the target platform before
migration (with a generic WSS/PS2003 and SQL Server installation).
2. Database Migration: Migration of the ProjectServer Database.
3. WSS Subsite Migration: Migration of Windows SharePoint Services
Subsites.
4. Enterprise Global Migration: Migration of the Enterprise Global
Template.
5. Resource Pool Migration: Migration of the Enterprise Resource
Pool.
6. Admin Configuration Settings: Migration of Project Web Access
Admin Settings (by manually duplicating them in the new environment).
Are there any additional steps that should be considered? Can any of
these steps be left out or accomplished by any other means?
Is there any information from Microsoft or any other sources that
addresses all of the steps that need to be taken?
Any feeback most welcomed.
Cheers,
Wayne
