migrating user accounts from stand-alone to domain (Project Server2007)

This weekend I will be rebuilding my Project Server, beginning with
reinstalling the OS. My organization is small (20 users) and we
currently authenticate against local Windows accounts. The new system
will also be a backup domain controller, and Project Server will
authenticate against Active Directory.

I already keep regular backups of the databases, but I am worried that
moving to AD will cause problems with our past resource assignments
and I haven't found any information regarding this kind of operation.
It's probably uncommon, as most enterprises would simply authenticate
against AD from the beginning, but I really hope we will not have to
re-assign all existing tasks to a new set of resources. Are there any
thoughts or suggestions concerning this migration?

Thanks,
Alex

I don't think you need to worry much about maintaining the actuals.
The actuals are connected with a Project Server User, and you can edit
the windows account details without disrupting the actuals or user
assignments.

In a typical Project Server 2007 rebuild, the trickiest part is
reattaching the SharePoint content databases. If possible, try some of
this in a test environment first. There are a few different issues
that can come up: Matching Server urls; matching SharePoint versions
exactly, &c.
