I am about to buy 2007 release after several months of succesful B2TR use.
I have read the following in the Office Pioneer blog:
1. You'll need to re-save any document created by the Beta products in the
97-2003 format. The 2007 release is NOT able to open documents created by the
Beta code.
Can anyone comment on the truth of this advice? I remember when I moved from
B2 to B2TR that there were some hiccups with file formats, but I certainly
didn't have to convert them via 97-2003. Also, I thought that B2TR fully
implemented the ECMA standard: if that is the case, how would the release
know the difference between a B2TR doc and a release doc?
