Migration of messages from OE5

I need to export a series of 10 folders/subfolders and all of the messages
stored in those folders out into a Text Format. I found a utility that will
allow me to do this from Outlook, however I cannot seem to get the messages
from my one outlook express (V5) user exported, to import into Outlook so I
can run the utility.

Does anyone know if:

1. There is a utility that will export messages from OE (V5) to Text,
maintaining the directory structure and bringing along attachments?

2. How to export messages from OE (V5) so they are importable into Outlook?
I have tried the Export function in OE and it doesn't seem to create a file
that is then usable in the Outlook import process.

Assuming OL is set up on the same PC as OE, simply Export OE>OL
PS You havent updated to OE6?

I am inheriting 3 machines from an organization whose IT shop ignored them.
Not only are they not running Outlook, they are a version old in OE from the
published standards.
