Migration of single linked files

Hello NG.

Is it possible to migrate single project files created with MSP Professional
02 to MSP Server 2003? The files are linked to each other and stored on a
local department share.
I know there is the "Insert/Project" function, but won't the links get lost
when using this?

I'm looking for a solution to migrate all linked files without doing the
links all over again. Can anyone help me?

Thanks
Sylvia

I believe the cross-project links will become invalid if you import these
projects into Project Server 2003 with the links included. I believe your
best approch would be to open all of the linked projects, write down all of
the cross-project links and link types, then break the links and save the
projects. Import the projects individually into the Project Server
database, then open them all and recreate the links.

I know it's going to be a lot of work, especially if you have a lot of
cross-project dependencies. If anyone else has ideas about a better (or
easier) way to handle this, I will gladly invite them to post a response to
your question as well. Hope this helps.
