Migration Question

Keith

I have an existing Project Server 2003 environment and I want to migrate
everything over to a new server with a different name. Does anyone know the
steps required to get this done?

thanks,
Keith

Keith,

I did the same thing and it worked out after some trial and error. But I did
not move any WSS data.

(First off, I used a spare desktop for a test enviornment, I highley
recommend this before introducing anything to a production server.)

Take a backup of all of your SQL databases through Enterprise Manager.

Install the SQL 2K and Service Packs on the new server. Restore all of the
databases from you old server.

Install Project Server, when it asks about the database, choose "Connect to
another existing Database"

Type in the current server name and "ProjectServer" for the database.

Hope this helps! Let me know. Sorry it is not very detailed, e-mail me if
you want. (e-mail address removed)
