I am planning a 2 server EPM implementation. The EPM will be without Active
Directory (AD) and eventually migrate it into an a future AD environment at a
future date.

I am interested in finding out:
1) any pitfalls to avoid in the migration \ installation
2) limitations this approach would impose (does this create any less of a
system?)
3) headaches this would create
4) any personal experience regarding migrating a non AD EPM system into an
AD environment.

Thanks,
Ray

Your best bet is to study the installation guide. Moving from an NT Domain
to AD should have no affect on your system providing the domain names and
logon names remain the same.

Good advice.

However, I need to clarify: the servers will not be part of a domain
(neither NT Domain or AD). They will be provisioned with EPM. This means
that project server will use local machine accounts. Eventually, I expect
the to be moved into an AD or NT domain.

Raymond:

If you know the what the AD name is going to be and the user account
conventions that will be used, I'd suggest grabbing a cast-off desktop and
create a mini-domain just for your project server implementation.
