Milestone 100%

On 2/10 we talked about using PWA to mark a milestone at 100% to no avail.
In Project Pro, I manually mark the milestone at 100% complete. I use
Collaborate "Republish" with Overwrite checkbox marked. Shouldn't this
process change the status of the milestone in PWA to 100%? When I go back to
PWA, the milestone still shows 0% complete.

When you manually set a milestone as 100% complete in the Microsoft Project
plan, you simply need to click Collaborate - Publish - All Information to
"push" this information to the detailed Project views in PWA.

If you are using Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments, you are in
error, as that technique should be used when you manually enter progress on
actual tasks in the Microsoft Project plan on behalf of the assigned
resources. Using Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments with the
"Ovewrite actual work entered by resources" option selected will "push" your
actuals from the Microsoft Project plan to each resource's timesheet in PWA.
Hope this helps.

Dale,

Thanks for your reply. I will try the "All info" technique.

Strange that the "overwrite" does not have the desired effect, since I am
want to overwrite that milestone's resource progress in PWA. Maybe, since
the task is a 'milestone', MS Project does not see the resource having
actuals. Comment?

I like your book (co-authored with Gary). I have much more to learn about
this tool. I enjoyed the June 2004 Technical Briefing. I hear the next PTB
will not happen until January 2006. Have you heard the same?
