Milestone Setting

PS2007 - SP1

We have a user who is updating a project plan in PWA - My Tasks and tasks
are being set in her MS Project Pro after she updates tasks to be 100%
complete to milestones - is there some configuration setting she could have
changed in her MS Project Pro that is causing tasks that are not originally
milestones to be set as milestones under Task Information?

We tried the same exact process on my machine and the issue did not occur.

Thanks

Need to update this question as I saw this behavior on my own laptop - we
have seen tasks turn into milestones when Actual Finish and % complete are
updated in My Tasks for a Fixed Work task. I also saw this happen on Fixed
Unit tasks that were submitted, Rejected and remaining work was set to 0 in
My Tasks.

Since these are two different scenarios -what could be causing the tasks to
be set to milestones in some situations

Thanks

Ben,

That is my question - how is the duration getting set to zero - no one is
updating the duration and the problem is not consistently reproduced
following the same steps that were documented the first time it happened so I
am wondering if there is a known issue that we need to apply a fix for

RQ:

I can't explain what is happening in the first case, and I can't replicate
it. Perhaps you could give a better blow by blow? In the second case, by
both rejecting the update and assuming no prior actual work or progress has
been applied, setting remaining work to zero would certainly cause duration
to go to zero and the task to become a milestone. So the second case is very
explainable.

Gary,

Thanks - I think in the first case the plan had a corrupt task because once
we went through the process of setting the Publish Column to No - Publish
Plan - Yes - Publish Plan - the problem could not be recreated.
