Milestone Status Notifications

Hi

I have seen a question posted (see link below) that suggests a solutions to Milestone Status Notification. Below the link also the important extract taken from the response given by Gary Chefetz. I am enquiring as to whether anyone can elaborate on this a little, for example does it just need tweaking in PWA Admin and if so how? or does it require custom fields being set up in Project? Or does it require some actual tweaking in the code?

That is, can you set up Project to give you an automatic notificatio
that a key milestone has been met or missed

Yes, it takes a little finessing with the notification and reminders engine

I know you're heart is in the right place but we shouldn't even acknowledge
this kind of solicitation with the honor of a response. Clearly this person
doesn't understand what this NG is about and any reply can only serve to
encourage them.

Maybe the NG moderators will be good enough to remove them as they do with
other spam.;>)

Experiment with assigning a resource to a milestone and/or using a milestone
completion task ahead of the milestone. Then set reminders accordingly.
