Milestones - identify critical

My project is fairly large and has a lot of milestones, not all of which I
would like to report on since some that are being used as checklists. Is
there a common practice in building the plan to identify only the critical or
major milestones for the project?

Hi Mani,

I do not know of a common practice, but a customer of mine uses a Flag field
to distinguish between "important" and "less important" milestones - please
avoid the term CRITICAL as it has a specific meaning in MS Project.

Suppose you put Flag 1 to Yes for less important milestone, not only can you
filter on them but you can also create two representations in the graphical
part of the Gantt Chart
