Mini Mail Merge?

Q

Quack Boy

Is it possible to do a mini mail merge? That is with only once set of
records.

Simple example table
ID Name Place
1 Adam Alphaville
2 Bob Betasville
3 Cathy Cetasville

Where the user specifies that they want the info for record 3 so it
should spew out:
Cathy
Cetasville
and that's all.

I could just use cut and paste, but I wuite like the idea of
semi-automating this process.
Thank you.

Sure, you can set Query Options to filter records. Which version of
Word do you have?

3 Cathy Cetasville

Hi Quack,

OK, in Word97 you can reach these from two places

1. Tools/Mail Merge, button at the bottom of the dialog box ("Query
Options")

2. In the mail merge toolbar, look for a button with three dots. I can't
recall if in Word97 this was a symbol with three red dots, or a captioned
button labelled "Mail merge...". But three dots, in any case. This will
display a dialog box where you'll also find the "Query options" button.
That'll be Word 97.
