Miniature Clocks

Is there a way to not have the miniature clocks display on
the calendar (month view) when an appointment spans two or
more days. Show time as clocks in customize view is not
checked.

The clocks show only when the appointment starts and ends at a set time of
day, instead of being an all-day event. I don't think there's any way to
change that -- it's designed to show that the appointment does not take up
the entire day on the first and last days.
