If you right click the application in the system tray and select "restore"
does it work?

After furious head scratching, MaggieS asked:
| Thanks, Diane. I tried changing it to 1920x1200 (the highest screen
| resolution I can set), but no difference.
|
| All the rest of my applications and windows restore normally, just not
| Outlook...

|| ||| Hi, Diane -
|||
||| To my knowledge, I haven't installed a utility that changes the
||| behavior. (At least, I didn't do so intentionally!)
|||
||| The version is Outlook 2003 SP2.
|||
||| In the system tray, "Hide When Minimized" is not checked.
|||
||| Thanks,
|||

|||| Version of Outlook? if 2003, are you using the option to minimize
|||| to tray?
|||| Right Click on the tray icon and check the setting.

|||| ||||| Until recently, when I clicked the icon next to the Minimize icon
