Minimum XML Requirements for MSProject Build

I am developing a stand-alone application in .Net which builds a MS Project
after importing data from an Excel file. I have successfully built the Task
and Resource structures; however, when I build the Assignment structure I
always end up with tasks that start and stop on the same day.

Can anyone tell me what the minimum Child tags are for the <Assignment>
structure?
