minor changes to forms in AXP

Hellog group,

we used to work with A97 and while people where working make minor
changes to forms or reports.
In AXP this is impossible, because the whole database is locked. You
can't even maken new forms and reports while people are working in the
database. Changes to queries howevere are still possible.

I would like to know if it is possible to change the locking of the
database so minor changes become possible again.

Hi Leon,

Not possible in Access 2000 onwards I'm afraid. One
option would be to let each user have their own frontend
database linked to the tables shared in a common backend
database. That way each user can create their own project
objects.

The following Microsoft article discusses this behaviour
change:

(ACC2000: Exclusive Lock Required for Saving Design
Changes to Access Objects)
