Mirror Image printing

Rob Teichman

All of a sudden my word documents get printed out as the "mirror image". In
other words readable if you hold the document up to a mirror. It only
happens with a page setup of "Letter" (which is what I use all the time)

I can get it to print normally by using any other Paper Size. How can I
"fix" the Letter paper size so it prints normally again

Heavens, how strange. I think this is your printer rather than Word,
though, cause I'm pretty sure mirror text isn't a feature in Word, though
some ask for it.

What version of Word and OS? What dialog are you setting "Letter" in?

Is the text mirrored in Print Preview?

Assuming OS X, my guess would be that the "letter" preset in the File |
Print dialog somehow came to include "mirror text", so explore the File |
Print dialog thoroughly and try to turn it off.

I'm with Daiya on this one:

Remove and replace your printer, restart OS X, then re-install your printer.

That should fix it.

There are all manner of tricks such as this that you can play in PostScript,
but Word can't properly rotate, flip, or mirror text: it's one of our big
complaints :)

Cheers
