misleading % complete while saving plan as .mpp

Hello,
I am facing a strange problem. i have a project plan in which all tasks are
100% complete. when i try to save this project as .mpp file using save as
option after saving project to disk it is randomly changing some 100% tasks
to random number say 98% and so in original plan. i am really wondering why
it is happing. please suggest some solution if you know.
i am using project 2003

I think this is a bug. I've seen it before. I do not know the cause, but if
you check remaining work and remaining duration you may find some cures. If
either are >0 then set to 0.
Also check for actual finish dates.

Hi rohit ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

I've never come across this one. Have you got SP3 installed? Are you sure
you've included all milestones in your 100% complete?(Insert the %Complete
column to check). Otherwise I suggest you try to emi,innate any possible
corruption. You could try the suggestions in FAQ Item: 43. Handling project
file corruption and/or bloat.

Yes i have got SP3 installed. and i tried workarounds in FAQ but problem is
still there.

Sorry, I've been away. However, I only know of one other possibility and
that is caused by interaction with Norton Anti-Virus program. Try disabling
it.

If you're using Project 2003 as a stand alone, we need to discover whether
your project is at fault, whether it is Project at fault, or whether it's
your PC. Does the symptom occur with other projects on this PC? Does it
occur with this project on other PCs? Does it occur with other projects on
other PCs?

Hi Mike,
I will try to disbale antivirus and try it again. yes it is happeing on more
then one machine with more then one projects. i have noticed that enterprise
calender is also getting cleared while saving plan as .mpp for particular
saved project.

User have noticed another problem with .mpp which may be releated with this
problem.
"When an Enterprise plan is saved as an mpp file, the Standard calendar is
getting cleared out – all public holidays are being removed. The Enterprise
calendar is not affected – just the one which is filed with the mpp version
of the plan. This seems to be happening to all plans"
