Sounds like Office was installed from an administrative installation point.
Is this a company computer or a personal computer? If personal computer, do
you have the CDs? If so, try a Repair from Control Panel->Add/Remove
Programs, Microsoft Office.

If a company computer, you can try the repair but I think you'll need to get
in touch with your IT group.
