Missing Advanced button

I want to create a specification for importing an Excel
file into an Access 2000 table. Using the File>Get
External>Import menus, I call up the import wizard.
However, the Advanced button in the lower left hand corner
of the window is not displayed. Why not?

Hi Ray,

I think the button doesn't show for MSExcel because
Access already knows how the data is arranged (since it
is already in a table format). Try importing a text file
and you will probably see the advanced button in the
corner.
