Missing and Out of Order Tasks

I have two project managers with the same issue, one uses Project 2003 and
the other uses Project 2007 and saves to 2003. One project has been more of
an issue than other, but I do have other project managers using only 2003
which have experienced the same issues.

After updating the project they save the file. Upon reopening the project
plan, either they have missing tasks (blank lines randomly throughout the
plan) and/or some task items have been ordered (ex. Task 1003 be after task
#95).

The one project most consistently with problems has been rebuilt numerous
times and continues to have problems.

Any suggestions?

For all versions of project, please download the latest service packs and
other updates. That should do it.

For P2003, they are on SP3 along with some later updates
P2007 is on SP1 with laters updates.
