G'day "smac" <[email protected]>,

All I can tell you for sure is that there was a revised article going
up. Dunno why the old one went - can't remember if there was blatantly
wrong stuff there or not :)

Anyway, if you Google groups on it there is loads and loads of stuff
in the archive. If you can't find an answer there, ask your quessie on
here.

Essentially though, I think you are just after some base code to
develop your list settings from a macro? If you are ofay with VBA you
can go into the VBE (Alt+F11), load the Object Explorer (F2) and check
out the ListTemplate object's properties and children. Set them, link
the style from there and Bob's yer uncle. Heading styles I tend to
attach back to the list template as well to get them to pick up the
changes, but avoid that with non-heading styles.

I have written a utility in VB which analyses a given template and creates
the macro Chuck has described for you below automatically. This has saved me
so much time as copying outline numbered styles is something I need to do
quite often. If anyone is interested in getting a copy email me (remove
NOSPAM from the address).

Cheers,

John
