While searching through some old emails I had sent, I discovered that the
attachments (clearly indicated by the paperclip icon as well as referenced
in the subject and/or body of the emails) were no longer attached.
Unfortunately for me, I have no backups (too old for Time Machine), and the
attachments were nondescript zip files containing bundled documents that I
gathered from various and diverse folders on my hard drive -- IOW, not only
can't I locate the attachments I had sent, I can't even identify the
specific documents they contained (which was the primary objective of my
search).
I assume (with no small amount of angry disgust) that the attachments have
been irretrievably dispatched (quite literally) to that big, nebulous
History File in the ether somewhere, never to be seen (by me, at least)
again. Am I correct?
