Missing Clip Art

My wife just got an iMac and Office 2004. She has almost no clip
art. It said that it comes with "thousands of images" but when we go
into Clip Art from Word we only see about 20 images.

We've tried sorting Clip Art images by catagory, show all, etc., so it
is not that we are just looking in 'Holidays' or something like that.

Her Word 2004 on her PC had a HUGE clip art file. Where is it on the
iMac?

Thank you!

There's actually very little clip art installed with Mac or PC Office apps
any longer. What your wife was seeing (in 2003, btw - 2004 is Mac only) is
clip art available from the MS web site. That's why she had to type a
"keyword" into the Clip Art Task Pane in order for the images to appear.
Those that had a globe icon in the lower left corner of the thumbnail were
actually being read from the MS site. In fact, I believe there's actually
more clip art installed *locally* with Mac Office than PC Office. Anyway...

To have at the rest, go into the Clip Gallery & click the Online button.
That's where you'll find the "cast of thousands" as advertised. You can add
the downloaded items to the Gallery if you wish, but it helps conserve disk
space by not having all that stuff arbitrarily stored on your hard drive
"just in case" you ever decide to use it.

Thank you so much - that certainly clears up a lot of questions.
We'll DL from the MS Clip Art site now.

Thanks again!.
